Carbide tools, especially indexable carbide tools, is the leading products of CNC machining tools, since the 1980s, a variety of integral and indexable carbide tools or blades have been extended to a variety of cutting tools, including indexable carbide tools from simple turning tools, face milling tools expanded to a variety of precision, complex, forming tools.
⑴ Types of cemented carbide tools
According to the main chemical composition, cemented carbide can be divided into tungsten carbide and carbon (nitrogen) titanium (TiC(N)) based cemented carbide.
Tungsten carbon-based carbide including tungsten cobalt (YG), tungsten cobalt titanium (YT), adding rare carbides (YW) three categories, they each have advantages and disadvantages, the main composition of tungsten carbide (WC), titanium carbide (TiC), tantalum carbide (TaC), niobium carbide (NbC), etc., the commonly used metal bonding phase is Co.
Carbon (nitride) titanium carbide is TiC as the main component (some add other carbides or nitrides) carbide, the commonly used metal bonding phase is Mo and Ni.
ISO(International Organization for Standardization) will be cutting cemented carbide is divided into three categories: K class, including Kl0 ~ K40, equivalent to China's YG class (the main component is WC.Co). Class P, including P01 ~ P50, is equivalent to China's YT class (the main component is WC.TiC. Co). Class M, including M10 ~ M40, is equivalent to China's YW class (the main component is WC-TiC-TaC(NbC)-Co).
Each grade represents a range of alloys from high hardness to maximum toughness with a number between 01 and 50.
⑵ Performance characteristics of cemented carbide tools
The performance characteristics of cemented carbide tools are as follows.
① High hardness: cemented carbide tool is made of carbide with high hardness and melting point (called hard phase) and metal binder (called bonding phase) by powder metallurgy method, its hardness reaches 89 ~ 93HRA, much higher than high-speed steel, at 5400C, the hardness can still reach 82 ~ 87HRA, and high-speed steel hardness at room temperature (83 ~ 86HRA) the same. The hardness value of cemented carbide varies with the nature, quantity, particle size and content of the metal bonding phase, and generally decreases with the increase of the content of the bonding metal phase. The hardness of YT alloy is higher than that of YG alloy when the content of bonding phase is the same, and the alloy with TaC(NbC) has higher high temperature hardness.
② Bending strength and toughness: the bending strength of commonly used cemented carbide is in the range of 900 ~ 1500MPa. The higher the content of metal bonding phase, the higher the bending strength. When the content of adhesive is the same, the strength of YG (WC-Co) alloy is higher than that of YT (WC-TiC-Co) alloy, and the strength decreases with the increase of TiC content. Tungsten carbide is a brittle material, and its impact toughness at room temperature is only 1/30 to 1/8 of high-speed steel.
(3) Commonly used carbide tool application
YG alloys are mainly used for processing cast iron, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials. Fine-grain carbide (such as YG3X, YG6X) in the same amount of cobalt than the grain hardness and wear resistance is higher, suitable for processing some special hard cast iron, austenitic stainless steel, heat-resistant alloy, titanium alloy, hard bronze and wear-resistant insulation materials.
The outstanding advantages of YT class cemented carbide are high hardness, good heat resistance, high temperature hardness and compressive strength than YG class, good oxidation resistance. Therefore, when the knife is required to have higher heat resistance and wear resistance, the brand with higher TiC content should be selected. YT alloy is suitable for processing plastic materials such as steel, but not suitable for processing titanium alloy, silicon aluminum alloy.
YW alloys have the properties of YG and YT alloys, and have good comprehensive properties. It can be used for processing steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. Such alloys, if properly increased cobalt content, can be very strong and can be used for rough machining and intermittent cutting of various difficult materials.
How many years has your company had production experience? Our company was established in 2000 and was reorganized in 2007 as NeK CNC tools Co.,Ltd. After so many years, our company has a team of terminal customers and a team of dealer customers. At present, we are one of the largest distributors of YG in China. We also have our own invested factory and our own OEM brand(NeK and SHITAEGER for insert)We are famous in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China.
Do you have alloys for stainless steel, for titanium? Our brand inserts' advantage is good at process steel and stainless steel. Recently, we have also introduced inserts for process titanium alloy materials.
That is the Minimum order quantity?
300~500 pcs. Foreign customers need to bear the freight by themselves.
That is the Production time? We have a large stock of all the common styles on the market. A small number of special types' inserts need to be re-counted after communication.
What is the volume of plate production per month and per year? 50 million pcs/year
Do you have a representative office in Russia? Not yet.
Can you make production of special items? Yes.
do you have warehouse? In China.
lead time for new items? At present,High speed land transport for 15-20 days
